Fitting your woodburning stove

The Capital Fireplaces and Esse range of Wood burning and Multifuel stoves should always be fitted by a HETAS registered engineer, much like a gas fire or appliance should be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer (previously corgi),

HETAS is the official body recognised by the government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services. Approving products such as boilers, cookers, open fires, stoves and room heaters.

Their useful website can help you find a chimney sweep, tell you about appliance efficiencies and has leaflets available to download including the Solid Fuel Association Leaflet (solid fuel is also known as multifuel) and a Carbon Monoxide leaflet outlining the concerns, (carbon monoxide detectors can be purchased from your local fireplace stockist).

Woodburning stoves

Woodburning stoves are hugely popular throughout the UK perhaps because they are eco friendly, but also because they are clean and can generate a huge amount of heat that is distributed evenly throughout the room.

The Capital Sirius range offers 3 excellent options (essentially small, medium and large versions) the Sirius 405 stove, Sirius 545 stove and the Sirius 645 stove.

The Sirius 645 stove is the largest in our stoves family.

It has twin glazed doors and a burning area that can take logs up to 20’’ long and it can output upto 12kW of controlled heat (that’s a lot of heat)!
